This website advertises and sells African artefacts, artworks and associated products from Motherland Curios.

Please read these terms and conditions carefully. By using or accessing our website you accept these terms and conditions and any other additional terms, notices or disclaimers contained on this website, including our Privacy Policy, as they apply from time to time. Should you not agree with these terms then you should not use this website.

We may amend the terms and conditions of use at any time which will become effective upon being posted on Motherland Curios website.

Pricing

All the prices listed on this website are displayed in Australian dollars (AUD/AU$). The prices include 10% GST unless otherwise stated.

Delivery and shipping charges are calculated and charged according to the number of items ordered, weight of the package and delivery address.

Products, pricing and availability are subject to change without prior notice.

Orders

All orders submitted through this website are subject to acceptance and confirmation by Motherland Curios.

Motherland Curios only accepts orders from within Australia and we do not ship to destinations outside Australia. Orders from outside Australia will not be fulfilled or confirmed. Purchasers must provide a valid Australian street address.

Once an order is placed, a confirmation email will be sent to the customer’s email address. This email confirmation is an acknowledgement that we have received your order, but does not constitute an acceptance of the order. We only accept your offer, and conclude the contract of sale for a product ordered by you, when we dispatch the product(s) to you and send email confirmation to you that we've dispatched the product(s).

Motherland Curios reserves the right to refuse an order for any reason.

Payments and Security

At Motherland Curios we take the security of your personal information very seriously. We will take all reasonable measures to ensure that your personal information is kept confidential. We will not sell or rent personal information to third parties.

All your data, including credit card details, payments, personal information and passwords, is protected using the highest commercially available 256-bit SSL encryption technology. You can rest assured that when you place your order, we make every effort to ensure that your financial information will not be intercepted.

We accept the following forms of payment:

• Bank transfer
• Credit Card / Debit Card (payments processed by PayPal)
• PayPal

Motherland Curios does not collect credit card information. PayPal automatically encrypts all sensitive credit card information sent between your computer and PayPal's servers and does not share this information with Motherland Curios. Delivery

Motherland Curios delivers Australia-wide.

Unfortunately, at this time, we do not accept orders for shipping to locations outside Australia.

A valid Australian street address is needed in order to fulfil all orders.

We deliver all our goods via Australia Post:

• Parcel Post – Standard Service
• Parcel Post – Signature on Delivery (SOD)
• Parcel Post – Extra Cover (Signature on Delivery Included)
• Express Post – Standard Service 
• Express Post – Signature on Delivery (SOD)
• Express Post – Extra Cover (Signature on Delivery Included)

The Australia Post tracking tool allows you to view where your item is during the delivery process.

Delivery costs are calculated based on the number of items ordered, weight, dimensions and delivery destination.

• The delivery cost will be calculated once you have placed your selected items in your shopping cart and entered an Australian postcode, along with your preferred method of delivery. 
• The delivery cost includes packing and handling costs as well as postage costs. Handling costs are fixed, but postage costs vary depending on the total size and weight of the shipment. 
• To minimise delivery costs, we recommend you group your items into a single order. We cannot group multiple orders that are placed separately, and delivery costs will apply to each order. 
• Your package is shipped at your own risk; however, we do our very best to protect fragile objects. 
• Our packaging and boxes are well-protected and sized according to the contents of your shipment.

All orders received are dispatched by the following business day. Orders received on a Friday or the weekend are dispatched on the first business day of the following week. Orders received on a public holiday are dispatched on the next business day.

The timing of the actual delivery is as per Australia Post Delivery Standards. Motherland Curios will not be liable for any loss or damage (including but not limited to consequential loss) resulting from Australia Post’s failure to deliver in accordance with its Delivery Standards.

Delivery Timeframes:

• Delivery times may vary depending on the destination, service availability and other factors that are out of our direct control. 
• You are charged for your order at the time it is placed. It is your responsibility to ensure that the delivery address and receiver’s name are accurate and complete. Please note that we are not able to change details of the order once it’s been shipped. 
• Motherland Curios will endeavor to fulfil all orders that are placed via this website. All of our products are listed for sale in good faith; however, it is possible that an item may become unavailable, either temporarily or permanently. In this case, we will notify you of the delay in your order, and your payment will be fully refunded for each cancelled item.

Returns, Refunds and Exchanges

Each Motherland Curios African artwork or artefact is handmade by our artisans in Africa; therefore each piece is unique. We believe this is what makes our items exquisite, as each Motherland Curios piece has its own distinct personality.

Slight colour variations from the images shown on this website may occur due to differences with computer settings; should you require a specific shade of colour, please contact us.

All of our sales are final. We will offer a repair, replacement or refund if an item does not meet the Consumer Guarantees under Australian Consumer Law. This includes if the item is faulty, not of acceptable quality, or significantly different from what you ordered. Items that have been damaged due to misuse by you, or that you have been notified have faults at the time of purchase, or for which you have simply changed your mind, are not eligible for a repair, replacement or refund.

For any returns, you are required to complete and submit an online Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) form (found in the Order History section under Your Account) and return the product to us in its original condition and packaging, along with any and all accessories, within 14 days of receipt. A copy of your tax invoice is also required.

All returns should be sent to Motherland Curios. The return address details will be printed on the Return Slip, which is generated after the RMA form has been submitted and approved.

You are responsible for all return shipping and delivery costs.

Motherland Curios has the right to monitor and edit or remove any comments or product review (‘Comments’) posted by users on this site.
